توفي اليوم الأربعاء، أحمد فرس، نجم المنتخب الوطني المغربي لكرة القدم السابق، بعد صراع مع المرض.

وكان أحمد فرس الذي يعد رمزا للكرة المغربية عبر التاريخ، يتابع منذ أشهر علاجه بالمستشفى العسكري في الرباط.

وكانت الجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم قد أعلنت في يناير الماضي، عن تكفلها الكامل بمصاريف علاجه، تقديرًا لما قدمه من خدمات جليلة لكرة القدم الوطنية.

ويعد أحمد فرس أحد أبرز أساطير الرياضة المغربية، حيث دون اسمه بأحرف من ذهب حين توج بجائزة الكرة الذهبية الإفريقية سنة 1975، كأول لاعب مغربي يحقق هذا الإنجاز.

كما قاد “أسود الأطلس” للتتويج بلقب الوحيد في كأس أمم إفريقيا سنة 1976 بإثيوبيا.
